Roof Replacement and New Board Members Approved at Commissioners Meeting

Mayor Colombi and Commissioner Kasko breeze through the last commissioners meeting of 2012.

The Mabel Kay House will get a new roof in 2013. Gen II contracting company of Clarksburg, was awarded the bid to replace the cedar shake roof on the senior center, at the final Board of Commissioners meeting of the year on Thursday. Gen II was the lowests of four bidders at $37,095. 

On other building news, the commissioners approved plans to submit an application for participation in a local government energy audit program with Sustainable Jersey. All borough buildings and pump stations will be included in the energy audit.

Commissioner Ed Borden did not attend the meeting. Commissioner Tish Colombi, the mayor, and Commissioner Jeff Kasko agreed to approve all resolutions on the agenda with minimal input or questions from the public.

Other items approved included monthly pay vouchers, annual contracts for animal control services and animal shelter services, the 2013 schedule of meetings and appointments for various boards and commissions.

Janet Hallahan was approved to serve on the Library Board of Trustees through Dec. 31, 2017, and William Polise and Ann R. Koelling were approved to serve on the Shade Tree Commission through Dec. 31, 2017.  Walter Weidenbacher and Deborah Troiani were approved as alternates for the Shade Tree Commission for one year terms.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at 4 p.m.
