Report: Haddonfield Republican Nominated for State Supreme Court

Former prosecutor, freeholder and assemblyman Lee Solomon was nominated this week.

Gov. Chris Christie nominated a Haddonfield Republican to the State Supreme Court this week, the Courier Post reports.

The nomination of Superior Court Judge Lee Solomon, an ex-prosecutor, freeholder and assemblyman, was part of a bipartisan deal announced by the governor and State Sen. President Stephen Sweeney this week, according to the report.

Christie said he would also reappoint Chief Justice Stuart Rabner for tenure to the Supreme Court. Christie has twice denied tenure to first-term justices, according to the report.
