Karin Elkins is the state director for Sen. Robert Menendez.

Karin Elkis has served three U.S. senators from New Jersey over 30 years and was honored recently for her service.

“Karin may have worked for a number of U.S. Senators and other top New Jersey officials, but throughout her career she has primarily been serving the people of New Jersey,” said U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez. “I am but one of many public officials who have been honored to work with her, and I’m glad she’s on my team."

She served as state director through Menendez’s 2012 re-election campaign and remains one of his closest advisors.

Elkis began her career in New Jersey politics as a chief of staff to former Assemblyman Marty Herman.

She lives in Haddonfield with her husband, Steven Weinstein, general counsel and vice president of governmental relations at Rowan University and former partner at Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader and Blank Rome, LLP.
