Poll: Romney Picks Paul Ryan as Running Mate—Your Thoughts?

Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan will run for vice president on the GOP ticket. Is he the right choice?

The team of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will take on Barack Obama and Joe Biden in November.

Romney and Ryan, a Wisconson Republican congressman, teamed up in Norfolk, VA, this morning to make the official announcement, although details leaked out hours before.

Ryan is considered a rising star in the GOP and is best known for his proposed budget that calls for an overhaul of Medicare.

Some analysists call Ryan a "bold choice" because the congressman's selection is considered a controversial move and a departure from the "safe" reputation Romney has. Ryan has a long voting history on issues that Democrats want to run on — health care and Social Security, especially.

Ryan also has never run for a statewide ticket, according to ABC News.

Politicos have been salivating for weeks over Romney's running mate choice. The many names thrown around included Gov. Chris Christie, that he was interested in running.

What do you think? Did Mitt Romney make the right decision? Does Paul Ryan running as VP change your vote one way or the other? Are you bummed Christie wasn't selected after all?
