Voter Registration Deadline Approaches

Fill out your voter registration application before it's too late.

Election Day is less than two months away—are you registered to vote?

With the bluster of the Democratic and Republican conventions and the inevitable mudslinging, lofty promises and debates among friends and family, it’s important to remember that none of it matters if you don’t exercise your right to vote.

The deadline to register to vote in the November election is Oct. 16. Applications must be filled out for new voters and if you’ve moved or changed your name.

Here’s how:

Register by mail

Print and fill out a Voter Application Form from the state. Mail the form to:

Superintendent of Elections
PO Box 268
Pennsauken, NJ 08110-9904

The state makes it easy—the application form can be mailed for free by following the folding and taping instructions.

Register in person

You can drop off your pre-completed form in person to the superintendent of elections, Phyllis Pearl, 7250 Westfield Ave., Suite C, Pennsauken, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

And you can pick up forms in person from the superintendent of elections at the address above; at the Camden County Board of Elections (Forrest Hall, 509 Lakeland Rd., Blackwood) weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; or at .

College students

College students are permitted to vote from their college address or their parents’ homes. They must file a new application if they’re not already registered where they choose to vote.
