School Board to Interview Hopefuls Thursday

Correction: Meeting starts at 8 p.m.

The school board will interview four candidates Thursday to fill a vacant position on the board. It will occur during a board meeting tonight at 8:00 p.m. in the library.

The opening was created when Lynn Biehn resigned in March. Her replacement will serve the remainder of her term, which ends in January 2013.

The four candidates are:

  • Eric Carlson – D.O. (Obstetrician) – University of Medicine & Dentistry of N.J.-School of Osteopathic Medicine; Eastern Virginia Medical School and Old Dominion University
  • Kevin DiMedio – Attorney - Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Lansing, MI); University of Delaware
  • Maureen Eyles – Event Planner and Sponsorship Sales Freelancer with a degree from Villanova University
  • Glenn George – Engineer, economist, financier, and management consultant – Cornell University; Harvard University

Biehn's replacement will join Andrew Berlin on the next school election ballot in November. Berlin was appointed to fill out the term of former board member Marsha Marshall. The deadline for filling a petition to run in the November election is June 5. The petition must be filed with the Camden County clerk.
