Bulldawgs Boys Earn Top Basketball Seed

The local teams found out their playoff seeds today.

The road to a South Jersey Group 2 boys basketball championship runs through Haddonfield Memorial High School.

The NJSIAA released the playoff brackets Friday with the Bulldawgs as the No. 1 seed.

Haddonfield opens with a familiar foe in No. 16 Collingswood, on Feb. 25. The Bulldawgs (17-1) have defeated the Panthers (1-15) twice this season, including a 61-35 win on Thursday. If Haddonfield can make it three-for-three it will advance to face the winner of No. 8 Willingboro/No. 9 Pemberton.

Middle Township earned the No. 2 seed, and Medford Tech is seeded third.

Haddon Township is a No. 4 seed in Group 1 and could see a familiar opponent if it advances to the second round. The Hawks open up against No. 13 Clayton on Feb. 26. Clayton (6-12) has struggled during the second half of the season, winning just once in its last eight games. If Haddon Township (12-7) is able to get past Clayton, Haddon Heights may be waiting in the second round. The Garnets are a No. 5 seed and will host No. 12 Glassboro.
