Haddonfield Sports Roundup

The Bulldawgs were busy as usual this week, and they continue to make a strong push towards the postseason.

Boys’ Basketball- The Bulldawgs started the week out with a tough 46-44 loss to Woodbury, but rebounded to get wins against Sterling and Williamstown. In the loss against Woodbury, Mike Lacantena led the way with 14 points and Chris Biddle added 11. This week, Haddonfield hosts West Deptford on Tuesday night before traveling to Gateway on Thursday. The Bulldawgs sit at 12-4 on the year.

Girls’ Basketball- Haddonfield went 2-0 on the week, beating Woodbury and winning a 45-41 game against Sterling. In the blowout win against Woodbury, Hayley Raymond scored a game high 21 points and Catherine Senopoulos added 13 of her own. This week, Haddonfield looks to avenge a loss from January 5 against West Deptford. The Eagles beat the Bulldawgs 37-35 in their first matchup this season. That game will be played Tuesday at West Deptford. The Bulldawgs also host Gateway on Thursday night.

Swimming- The boys’ and girls’ defeated Cherry Hill East on Thursday, with the boys winning 111-59 and the girls won a tight 89-81 match. This week, the boys take on Cherry Hill West on Wednesday, while the girls take on Bishop Eustace, also on Wednesday. 

Wrestling- The Bulldawgs had a solid week, defeating Haddon Township and Overbrook before falling to rival West Deptford on Friday night. The ‘Dawgs now stand at 13-7 on the season. This week, Haddonfield wraps up the regular season with a home matches against Lindenwold Monday, Sterling Wednesday and the regular season finale against Gateway on Friday.
