Mayor Kicks Off Catholic Schools Week with a Proclamation

Christ the King Regional School kicked off its celebration for Catholic Schools Week on Monday with a proclamation from Haddonfield Mayor Tish Colombi.

During a brief prayer service Monday morning, Mayor Colombi made the proclamation which officially declared Jan. 29 to Feb. 5 Catholic Schools Week.

“Having the mayor come and make this proclamation demonstrates the importance of Catholic Schools in our community,” Principal Maureen DiBella said.  “It solidifies our school’s commitment to providing a safe, structured and caring learning environment that emphasizes moral values and responsible citizenship.”

Educating pre-kindergarten to eighth grade students, Christ the King Regional School is a Catholic learning community with a long standing tradition of rigorous academic standards and spiritually relevant teachings.  Middle school students at CKRS would experience readers and writers workshops, a full science laboratory with LED microscopes, and the Rosetta Stone Classroom language program.  Both in the classroom and outside of school, students in all grades have an instinctive desire to serve God and others.  Students donate their time and talents to give back to the community through programs like Kids Alley and non-profit groups like Babe’s Kids.
