Two Bulldawgs Still Alive in Region 7 Wrestling Championship

Carson Stack and Rob Schlitt will wrestle today for a shot at a championship match.

Two out of four Haddonfield wrestlers are still alive in the Region 7 state championship today in Robbinsville, according to NJ.com.

Rob Schlitt pinned Sonnieboy Blanco of Burlington City at 1:57 of their 160-lbs. quarterfinal match Friday to advance. Schlitt will face Brad Schwarze of New Egypt in a semifinal match today. Schwarze beat Mike Campbell of Collingswood.

Carson Stack also scored a pin Friday at 1:18 of the 195-lbs. quarterfinal match over Alex Felderstein of Lenape. Stack will faceoff against backyard-rival Padric Lynch of Haddon Heights in a semifinal bout today.

Both Schlitt and Stack are looking to advance to state individual championship matches next week in Atlantic City.

Two other Bulldawgs were not as fortunate.

Phillip Tanenbaum lost 15-0 in a technical fall at 3:10 of his 126-lbs. quarterfinal match with Kevin Devoy of Burlington Township. Whit Oswald also lost to Tyler Miller of New Egypt in a 6-0 decision in a 182-lbs quarterfinal match.
