Haddonfield Boys and Girls Hoops Off to Fast Start

Both teams started the season with two wins and are back in action Thursday.

The Haddonfield High School boys basketball team is off to a 2-0 start after the opening weekend of the season.

Following an 82-38 win at Overbrook to open the season on Friday, the Bulldawgs downed Rancocas Valley, 56-43, in the home opener on Saturday, according to box scores posted on nj.com.

Robby Depersia led the way in the win over Rancocas Valley with 17 points. Nick DePersia followed with 13, and Ted Stavetski netted 12 points in the win.

The Bulldawgs return to the court on Friday at Delsea, and visit Lenape on Saturday.

The girls basketball team is off to a 2-0 start with wins over Overbrook and Florence, according to box scores posted on nj.com.

Taylor Sehdev posted 16 points in the 59-32 win over Overbrook. Hayley Raymond and Arpie Senopolous each had 11 points in the win, which was the home opener for the Bulldawgs.

Against Florence, Raymond led the way with 13 points as the Bulldawgs cruised to a 44-18 win. Brianna Gess had 12 points.

Haddonfield returns to the court Friday at home against Delran. The Bulldawgs host OLMA on Saturday.
