Haddonfield Boys Basketball Remains Unbeaten With Blowout of Sterling

The girls basketball team suffered its first loss and the wrestling team defeated Peddie and Bordentown on Saturday.

The Haddonfield High School boys’ basketball team remained undefeated with a 66-43 win over Sterling on Saturday, according to nj.com.

Tommy Kadar led the way for the Bulldawgs with 14 points, as four players saw double digits.

Robby Depersia and Ted Stavetski each had 12 points, followed by Nick Depersia with 10.

Marvin Jones dropped a game-high 18 points for Sterling. Jarod Mullica had 12 points.

Haddonfield improved to 5-0. Sterling dropped to 0-5.

Haddon Township 40, Lindenwold 37: Haddon Township battled back from a 24-18 halftime deficit for the three-point win.

Eric Dicresenzo led the way with 12 points. Nick Marino and Jake Mulroy each dropped nine.

Haddon Township trailed at halftime, but outscored its opponents 16-7 in the third quarter and held on for the win.

Haddon Township improved to 4-1. Lindenwold fell to 3-2.

Girls basketball

Sterling remained undefeated while handing Haddonfield its first loss of the season on Saturday, according to nj.com.

Jordan Wallace led Sterling with 14 points, followed by Ke’alohilani Naone-Carter with 12. Dominique Budd dropped 11 in the win.

Taylor Sedhev dropped a game-high 17 points for the Bulldawgs in the loss.

The teams were tied, 9-9, after the first quarter, and 23-23 after the second. Sterling outscored Haddonfield, 21-2, in the third quarter, and held on for the win.

Sterling improved to 4-0. Haddonfield fell to 4-1.

Haddon Township 65, Lindenwold 31: Haddon Township jumped out to a 37-12 halftime lead and never looked back.

Morgan Lenehan led the way with 19 points. Bella Preziosi dropped 15 points and Alayziah Carr knocked down 10 points in the win.

Haddon Township improved to 4-0. Lindenwold dropped to 4-1.

Wrestling

Haddonfield outscored its opponents 133-23 in picking up two wins over the weekend. The Bulldawgs defeated Peddie, 66-12, and Bordentown, 67-10, according to nj.com. Haddonfield improved to 2-1.

William Benedict (120), Crawford Oswald (170), Frank Fortino (220) and Hunter Fasolo (heavyweight) each scored two pinfall victories in the tri-meet.

Haddonfield had seven forfeit wins against Peddie. Haddonfield collected 11 pins and a major decision in the win over Bordentown.
