Haddonfield Dedicates Football Season to Coach's Late Mother

Frank Delano said this is the first season in 32 years that his mother was not in the stands.

Haddonfield Memorial High School head football coach Frank Delano was emotional after his team rolled to a 47-6 season-opening win over Audubon last week.

He said it was the first time in 32 years his mother wasn't in the stands for one of his football games.

"I know she's looking down," Delano said.

He said it's been a rough year for the Haddonfield football family with the death of his mother in March and longtime booster Ed Ciemniecki.

The Bulldawgs host Woodbury Friday for their next game.
