Storm Washes Out 3rd Annual Chicken Runs at Midnight

The Canuso Foundation and Babe’s Kids third annual was shortened by a violent thunderstorm Friday.

There was still a carnival-like atmosphere before the storm, with activities, food and entertainment.

Last year, more than 2,000 people participated. Proceeds will support Babe’s Kids, Jason Garstkiewicz and Colin Hough. Jason Garstkiewicz, a seventh-grader at the , was recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in his tibia. Colin Hough is a freshman at and recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer of the connective tissue.
