Haddonfield Police: Man Awakes to Burglar in Room
No injuries were reported in a brazen burglary.
Imagine awaking from a mid-afternoon nap to find a burglar in your bedroom. A resident in the 600 block of Farragut Ave. didn't have to imagine. He experienced it firsthand. Police said he awakened from a nap shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, and saw a man in his bedroom, who then fled with his wife's jewelry box, filled with rings, necklaces and earrings. The suspect escaped. He is described as a thin-built, white male in his 20s, about 5-foot-8. It was not immediately reported how he gained entry to the house.

Josh, the Camden County Freeholders want to spend $65 million per year on a brand new County-wide police force. They realize that they'll not be able to sell that huge new tax increase to County taxpayers, including Haddonfield/Haddon Twp. taxpayers, unless the crime rate goes up appreciably in Camden County.
