Haddonfield Commissioners Scheduled to Discuss Bancroft Purchase

Here's a quick look at today's work-session agenda.

A discussion about the pending Bancroft public purchase is at the top of the agenda for the borough Board of Commissioner's work session at 4 p.m. today at the Municipal Hall. The borough and school board are backing a January bond referendum to spend up to $12.5 million to acquire and develop the 19-acre, Bancroft property on Kings Highway East next to Haddonfield Memorial High School. The Bancroft discussion may be in a non-public, executive session. The board went into executive session at its last work-session meeting to discuss Bancroft. Haddonfield Commissioners Agenda: May 22

Officials will consider a proposal to fund an artificial turf field.

Here's a look at tonight's Board of Commissioner's meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Hall. Please click on the PDF to see the full agenda. The Haddonfield Board of Commissioners are expected to vote tonight on a resolution to spend $354,000 as part of a $1 million project to install artificial turf on two fields at Haddonfield Memorial High School. The money will be contingent on $500,000 in private funds raised by a community group for the project. The borough board of education has already approved $150,000 toward the project, which will resurface turf at the high school football stadium and the adjacent Anniversary Field.
