Ben Franklin Bridge Shutting Sunday Morning, Periodically During the Week
The entire span will close for the Run the Bridge 10K, and construction will periodically take out lanes during the week.
Looking to cross the Ben Franklin Bridge Sunday morning? Better bring a pair of sneakers. The bridge will close to traffic in both directions starting at 7:45 a.m., as 4,000 runners get set for the annual Run the Bridge 10K. The bridge is scheduled to reopen to traffic around 9:30 a.m., after all the runners have cleared the span. The Ben Franklin will also have periodic lane closures during the week because of construction. Monday, Nov. 7 and Wednesday, Nov. 9, the right-hand westbound lane will be closed for construction between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. each day.
