The resurfacing project will improve conditions on the 90-year-old West Park Boulevard bridge but shut it down for three months starting Monday.
If any part of your regular commute takes you down West Park Boulevard (CR 641) in Haddon Township, you might want to plan an alternate route for the next thee months. The Camden County Department of Public Works will begin a 90-day, $273,388 reconstruction project on the West Park Boulevard Bridge on Monday that will close the road from Walnut Avenue to Chestnut Street. West Park Boulevard leads into West End Avenue in Haddonfield. It's a convenient route to or from the borough to avoid Haddon Avenue traffic. Authorities are asking drivers to use Haddon Avenue instead during the construction, which will resurface the roadway and its striping, and add new curbs, handicap ramps and manhole castings.
