Chip Kelly, you speak the truth! The truth makes others feel "uncomfortable" as they wiggle and squirm in their seats, so they squeak! I support your comments and commend you for expressing them! So many fear speaking up around here. I third your thank- you to Ed for declaring he won't run again!!! I anxiously await the looming, overdue revelations! The truth will set us ALL free!   more ›

Agreed. John's expertise as a chemical engineer who supervised projects of over 60 million dollars for 2 major oil companies give him qualifications far beyond the other candidates. At a time where the infrastructure of our roads, trees, water and sewer systems are in desperate need of attention he's the right man at the right time.   more ›

Since the matter is still being litigated, I can't get into a lot of detail, but sufficed to say that when Lee Avenue residents sought the intervention of the HPC (of which Lee was a member) over the HUMC cemetery fence issue, Lee was clearly in our corner. We are grateful to her and to the HPC for their insight, understanding and support....unfortunately, the Boro chose to ignore their …   more ›

Why don't you reach out to each of them for your concerns? This is not the proper forum for any of the candidates to get in to a debate with post writers (Anonymous and not). There was the Republican Forum, Haddonfield Civic Association and many coffees as well as Meet & Greets, where the candidates were/are open and willing to do (as you call it ) the "honorable" thing and address your concerns…   more ›

Voters Size Up Commissioners Candidates After Debate

Six candidates for three seats on the Haddonfield Board of Commissioners debated on Wednesday.

A wide-ranging debate among six candidates for three seats on the Haddonfield Board of Commissioners Wednesday drew few sharp distinctions but still helped some in the audience of more than 100 narrow their choices. "I really liked Neal Rochford," said Heather Vaughn, 45, a homemaker and former teacher with children at Tatem Elementary School. "He had very candid answers. He's not afraid to speak what he really feels. I liked his sense of humor and his honesty." Rochford resonated with a sampling of audience members as they filed out of the Haddonfield Memorial High School auditorium after the two-hour debate. The 53-year-old former borough commissioner, a former owner of a printing company, was defeated in 2008 after one term and is now …

High School Turf Project Sealed at Commissioners Meeting

An agreement with the Haddonfield school board to install artificial-turf fields was unanimously approved Tuesday by borough commissioners.

Another milestone in the saga of artificial turf fields in Haddonfield was marked Tuesday night. The borough Board of Commissioners unanimously passed a shared services agreement with the local Board of Education for the installation and maintenance of two fields, one of which is on municipal property. The agreement clears the way for the installation of turf on the high school football stadium field and an adjacent practice field, which is owned by the borough. Commissioner Ed Borden hailed the project as a “cause for great celebration.” A cadre of residents, who sat through nearly two hours of other agenda items, including the passage of the 2013 municipal budget, didn’t see it that way. “When the school board and borough approved this …

“thousands of our citizens” does seem overstated. Was thinking the HS Phys Ed classes will have many more options with turf. Our HS kids will love it: HS Band, Field Hockey, Football, Boys and Girls Soccer, and Boys and Girls Lacrosse teams will be able to practice rather than cancel on account of rain/muddy fields. Many of our Boro Organizations: Youth Football, Youth Lacrosse, Youth Soccer can …   more ›
