Candidate John Moscatelli, 'I Think We Can Do Better'

Moscatelli explains why he is running for the Haddonfield Board of Commissioners.

Moscatelli, 45, an engineer and stay-at-home father of two, explained why he is running for the Haddonfield Board of Commissioners during a candidate's forum last month. The election on May 14 features six candidates, including Moscatelli, running for three, four-year terms as commissioner. The three-member Board of Commissioners are the highest elected officials in the borough. Moscatelli is running against incumbents Ed Borden and Jeff Kasko, and challengers Lee Anne Albright, Ken Kouba, and Neal Rochford.

Neal Rochford, a 53-year-old former borough commissioner and a former owner of a printing company, explained why he is running for the Haddonfield Board of Commissioners during a candidate's forum last month. The election on May 14 features six candidates, including Rochford, running for three, four-year terms as commissioner. The three-member Board of Commissioners are the highest elected officials in the borough. The election on May 14 features six candidates, including Albright, running for three, four-year terms as commissioner. Why don't you reach out to each of them for your concerns? This is not the proper forum for any of the candidates to get in to a debate with post writers (Anonymous and not). There was the Republican Forum, Haddonfield Civic Association and many coffees as well as Meet & Greets, where the candidates were/are open and willing to do (as you call it ) the "honorable" thing and address your concerns…   more ›

Incumbent Haddonfield Commissioner Ed Borden drew the bottom spot for the May 14 election.

The crowded field of six candidates for the three borough commissioner seats up for grabs in a May 14 election participated in a drawing Wednesday to determine ballot position. Who's In, Who's Out of Commissioners Race, So Far

The filing deadline is on March 15 for a pivotal Haddonfield Board of Commissioners race.

Editor's note: This story was last updated 12:08 a.m., Feb. 28. Haddonfield will officially have a contested race for board of commissioners as four candidates have now declared their intention to run. There are three commissioner seats on the ballot, all for four-year terms. Voters go to the polls on May 14 for the nonpartisan election. Incumbent Commissioner Ed Borden was the latest to throw his hat into the ring, announcing he intends to seek another term in office. Borden was elected to the board in 2005 and is completing his second term. Colombi Ready to Announce Another Run for Commissioner

The mayor will make an announcement about her candidacy Saturday at the annual Haddonfield Mayor's Breakfast.

Tish Colombi, the borough mayor, is set to announce her candidacy for another four years on the Board of Commissioners. Colombi, who has been one of three borough commissioners for the past 28 years and the mayor for the past 10, said she will make an announcement about her candidacy at the annual Mayor's Breakfast Saturday morning at the First Presbyterian Church. When asked by a reporter if she intended to declare her candidacy she said: "Can't abandon the ship in the middle of the stream."
