Click here for the list of restaurants in the Center City district that are participating. My personal favorite on the list is Bridget Foy's on 200 South St. I have enjoyed their al fresco dining several times during the lunch hour. They have a large craft beer selection that is excellent when pairing with their savory dishes. The pulled pork empanadas are out of this world. …

The Great Escape: Concert in the Park

Need somewhere to escape? Check out this local hot spot.

Listening to live music is one of my favorite pastimes. There is nothing better than sitting in a park on a summer night with that special someone and listening to some nostalgic tunes. This Thursday, July 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Connolly Park in Voorhees, grab your beach chair or blanket and get a good spot on the hill to hear the sounds of the Beatles tribute band, Strawberry Fields. Strawberry Fields is an amazing tribute band featuring members from the off Broadway's hit musical, Beatlemania. This group performs in full costume, and they are the closest thing to the Beatles other than the real band. This will be their third year performing at Connolly Park for the Voorhees Concert Series, and they are always sure to bring out an awesome …

The Great Escape: Mütter Museum

Need somewhere to escape to this weekend? Check out the hottest local spots.

My husband and I decided to take a ride over the bridge this week to a museum located right in the heart of Center City. But, it was not your typical tour of historic Philadelphia. It was a freakishly delightful trip to the Mütter Museum, located inside the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. It was reasonably priced at $14 for adults; $10 for military, senior citizens (65 and up) and students (with valid ID). They also have pricing for children, but due to the severity and graphic nature of the medical oddities located in this museum, I would strongly suggest you do not bring your children. We saw the famous Soap Woman exhibit, which was quite the site to see in person. The famous presidential tumor was on display, as well as several …
