Man Dies in Lawnside Police Custody, Prosecutor Investigating
Rodney Terry of Williamstown died after being arrested following a disturbance in Lawnside Thursday evening.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office is looking into how a man in Lawnside Police custody died Thursday evening. Rodney Terry, 47, of Williamstown, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. after police saw him throwing rocks and yelling at a home on Charleston Avenue in Lawnside, according to the prosecutor's office. Jason Laughlin, spokesman for the prosecutor, provided the following account: Police handcuffed Terry and place him in the rear of a police cruiser. The officers called Emergency Medical Services because of Terry's behavior. When EMTs removed Terry from the vehicle, he wasn't breathing.
