An Open Letter to Aging Musicians: At the time of this writing, I am celebrating my birthday. Twenty-five years old. A fourth of a century. Strangely, I still feel like a kid; not ready for my responsibilities, just looking for the laughter in everything. The hidden joke. Once in a while, though, I realize that my marketability to callous record company executives is dwindling like shadows from every birthday candle lit in my honor.
