Curtain Call: The HMHS Graduation Movie

The class of 2012 goes out in style. Don't take my word for it. Watch the video.

"I couldn't be more proud of a group of young people than I am with this group," Haddonfield Memorial High School Principal Michael Wilson said this week at the senior graduation. "There's this real unique tightness about them and their relationships with one another. That wasn't designed that way, that's just the way they are."

They came too late to the ER because they could not even pay the deductibles in their inadequate plans-if they even had them. No one in the Affordable Healthcare Act will get healthcare for free. However premiums can be subsidized based on income level. I suspect most …   more ›

Proceeds will benefit three students currently fighting cancer.

Haddonfield Memorial High School is hosting a St. Baldricks event today featuring three  students fighting cancer. The community has raised over $1,400 so far. Many will be shaving their heads, cutting their hair to make a wig, getting updos, spraying their hair green, and putting in green hair extensions. Shamrock pretzels will be sold and live entertainment will be on hand. Also, Colin Hough, a freshman, will be making an appearance to watch his mother shave her head in solidarity with him going through radiation and chemotherapy treatments. He took a limo to his last appointment Thursday with some friends who donated the limo ride to the hospital. A few teachers are shaving their heads and Joanne Miller, a special education teacher, …

Haddonfield Boys Come Up Short in SJ Hoops Final

The Bulldawgs get humbled by Willingboro in search of their first sectional title since 2006.

After Saturday’s win in the semifinals over Haddon Heights, Haddonfield head coach Paul Wiedeman said that he thought the South Jersey Group 2 championship matchup against Willingboro would be like “Paulsboro round two.” He hoped the score would be different, the Red Raiders defeated the Bulldawgs 62-41 back on February 21, but after four quarters the scoreboard read almost identical to that loss at Paulsboro as the Bulldawgs fell 67-40 in Tuesday’s sectional final. “It was almost like they had seven guys out there,” Wiedeman said of the Chimeras' defensive effort. “I thought in the first half they played good defense but in the third quarter they were everywhere.” Haddonfield started the game strong, opening with a 7-2 run. But a 13-0 run…
