Haddonfield Police: A Turkey Hoax and More
Man files complaint for hoax and pranksters continues to steal flag ornaments.
A borough business owner said he intended to file a police complaint Friday for a prank that was disrupting his business. Donald Haven Jr. told a reporter that a business deal gone bad ended up with a man posting a false announcement on Craigslist for free turkeys, asking respondents to call his real estate business number. Haven said he had been interested in buying a boat from a National Park resident, but decided against it. The seller of the boat then retaliated by placing the false announcement, Haven said. He said the man sent him a text message about the hoax. Haven said his "phones were blowing up" from people looking for a free turkey all day Friday and he intended to pass on the information to borough police. It was not …

First of all, to retaliate on an undone business deal by posting a hoax about free turkeys is downright disgusting when you think of how financially difficult the holidays are for a lot of people - shame on that person - and shame on those who would yank flags off of others' property. I mean, do you feel "good" about yourself after doing something so despicable?   more ›
