As a resident who lives in this exact area, is a member at Wedgewood and am frequently at the playing fields I know as a fact this area has had an awful smell for years. It was just recentely that I got a first hand look at the cause. This is disgusting. I am totally appalled that our comissionsers let this problem go on at the expense of the health of the residents of Haddonfield while they spent so much time on the purchase of Bancroft and ridiculious turf fields.
    Love Ben G's slogan!!

I don't live here for the schools, that is quite obvious. Here's another camden, low income housing phobe.

Our taxes are too high as it is. If they keep raising our taxes this town will be a onlytherichcanlivehere ghost town.

That's a great idea CJ, have the households sending the kids to the school pay more. That way our senior citizens can still afford to live in this town.
Also, if what the parents pay for the activities does not voer the cost increase the fees. The parents are not paying to educate their children so charge more fees. It's a no brainer.

Why are the tax payers paying for extra curricular activities? Shouldn't the parents of the kids involved pay for that?
These administrators continualy want to take from the tax payers. Wanting to purchase Bancroft is proof of that. How much were our taxes supposed to go up with that purchase? Now another increase.
I also find it suspicious that they are only .02% under needing a vote.

Marie, even if the referendum went through, your daughter would not see any benefit from it in 3 years or 10. It would of taken MANY years for anything to happen on that Bancroft property. The town would of been dealing with underground tanks, abstestos, lead paint, etc...

Thank you Rocco for your words of wisdom. The purchase of Bancroft will chase out the elderly and also the middle class families of our town. All taxes will increase, there is a limited few that can afford that increase. Hundreds of homes will go on the market when/if this votes goes through, then hundreds will go on sale as taxes increase. Noone out of town will buy into this town, unless they are wealthy. This is a no win situation. No school in this town is over abundanced. We are not "doing this for the children". The green signs either 1) do not care about the $500 plus tax increase per year 2) Are not informed enough to know the actual issues or #3) ARE SNOBS WHO ARE SCARED TO DEATH OF THE FEW LOW INCOME HOUSES WE ARE BEING THREATENED OF OCCURING. And to those of you who believe that, look at the economy, no one else wants to buy the Bancroft property at this time. There are no other bids. You are being lied too... How can the BoE outsource education when the schools are not and never will be at their max? We have out of town kids paying for our schools now, they are not maxed. PLEASE do not believe what you hear. Do your research..

I am so glad to be reading these comments. After spending my morning going through my mail from last week and seeing so many One haddonfield fliers and ads I was dismayed by the thought of the residents believing this political crap being shoved down our throats. There are people out there that do not believe the crap that they are being fed. How can any of the families listed on the yellow flier put their names out there like that? Do they not realize they just sold their soul? Bancroft paid to print and distribute those fliers. How can people not see the one sided agenda. AND STOP saying we are only going to have a $200 tax increase. IT IS NOT TRUE! It will begin with a several hundred $ increase, on top the of normal increase every year. It will not stop there.
