Julie has worked as a freelance writer, reporter and photographer for the past three years. She graduated from Dickinson College with a Bachelor of Arts and majors of study in English and Religion. After a 10 year career working and relocating for a large corporation, Julie switched gears to raise a family and re-focus her original vocation: to interpret the world around her and engage in the business of local communities, schools, and organizations through volunteerism and eventually as a newspaper reporter. Julie's favorite things include her family, her boxer named Elvis, books of all kinds, and learning something new, often from someone new, every day.
