ReplyBike paths....are they kidding? The bike paths are never used by the bike people or runners....they are out in the street on Park Boulevard, Cherry Hill, as are they all over Haddonfield. Repair the damaged sidewalks and curbs for God's sake and stop all of this "feel good" nonsense!

ReplyGreat news! Now that a lack of funds (?) and plastic grass negates a decades- long tradition....let's recruit this person and put them in charge of our fireworks display...just a thought.

ReplyChip/Paula: Your comments are right on the money! The image of civility in this town is just that....an image. I love this town, it's history, architecture and 95% of its residents....those people of honor and integrity. But anyone who doesn't think that there is an undercurrent of political hypocrisy is delusional. A small group has been running this town for the last 20 years, but I believe that the reign of terror is about over...people seem to finally be waking up. I've been here for 28 years and some of the changes I've seen are disturbing. Good friends, who are born and raised here are disgusted. And you are right....if you speak out about a problem you are accused of being mean spirited and not appreciating the "best place to live in Camden County"! I am a bit outspoken and have a personal ax to grind with the Boro (details to follow after litigation)...I've been cautioned to "be careful"...that there are people in town who can "make trouble for me." Are you kidding???!!! I thought Stalin was dead! Stay vocal and visible....Haddonfield is a town for everyone, not just those with deep pockets and political affiliations.

ReplyI am over at your part of town several times a day, so I'll look out for him, especially in the very early morning hours. Also, keep a sheet nearby in case he goes to ground...you can throw it over him. That's how a friend got his Military Macaw many years ago. I'll say a prayer to St. Francis, too!

ReplyCongratulations John and Jeff (& Neal, who I don't really know!) You are men of honor and integrity, and I am proud to know you. I am looking forward to the next four years, I know they will be great for this town that we all love.

Reply"Without direct contact there is little or no health risk posed." Please, would one of our town's many health professionals weigh in here. I am only a mere mortal, but I know that such gems as e coli as cholera are caused by bacterial contamination from feces. I agree that whomever screwed up on this one should be brought to task.....but let's get this mess cleaned up before we get out the tar and feathers. This should have never gotten this bad. Hell, I would get fined if I didn't pick up dog poop! And, even though you are taking the heat, thanks HU for bringing this to everyone's attention. PS: C-fold paper towels and those hand-wipe things helped cause this problem...the hand wipes are not biodegradable, and the towels take for ever to break down. I am not a tree-hugger, but perhaps some restrictions on their use would help prevent a repeat of this problem....just a thought.

MJT530....post under your real name....I'll pick you up in the Corvette and we can ride around over pot holes and have our kidneys in our armpits! Joe T.....I guess I am continuously frustrated (as are most of us), when we are told that there is no money for some things, and funding for other things always seems to materialize, as Jack S. pointed out....."is a puzzlement"!
