ReplyDon't get your "panties in a bunch" Jim. Through the ages,as a rule, men wrote history.at the expense of women. At least wait until the scale has balanced to call for fair play.

ReplyPersonal agendas aside, there is no way you can say "zero affect" to adjoining properties. Nor should a board member be allowed to continue serving the borough after displaying such conflict of interest. I hope the alternates are prepared to step up!

ReplyI have long been suggesting just this very thing on HaddonfieldTalks and I believe it would make a huge impact with very little effort. Community awareness and a tighter bond with local officials can make a differance.

ReplyPredictable. Official resources are doing all they can. Do we raise taxes for additional resources or do we get involved by community neighborhood watches.

ReplyIn regard to King's Court, I think the tenents should be proactive with upkeep. A trashcan would help, but how does that adress the "constant glaze" of ice cream in the gazeebo. The kids after school are a tougher issue. Downtown is a crossroads of foot traffic for school kids. These kids also spend money. No one wants to ban kids from the area do they? As to the hot dog cart, have you thought this through? Where do you propose it should go? Whose business suffers? Perhaps a better idea is to work in some sort local food exposition. Like a contest for "Best of". They can set up buffet tables serving sample size items on their menu.
As for Collingswood Farmers Market, I won't say you didn't see her, but I will say I have seen a look alike both there and at the Shop Rite on Rt 70. I did a double take more than once.

Both properties were under Bill Burris's watch while he was at CareOne. Do a news search for details on Bill Burris involvement.

ReplyPresent Day Lost Haddonfield: Make history!! Special Zoning Board Meeting tonight at Borough Hall regarding Boxwood Hall. This is the corner stone to the Historic district. If this plan passes it means an end to zoning regulations that define Haddonfield, protects YOUR property value, and threatens the historic tradition that makes Haddonfield unique.

ReplyTo Jeff H: Thats a great point. Unfortunatly it becomes a moot point if the borough decides to use both parties for redundancy purposes.

Haddonfield has impressed me most in community involvement as far it's population as a whole. From its politics to local infrastructure, various boards, and general population. All of whom make a commitment to the rest of us with very little thanks or reward. Some do so at risk, while others sacrifice time with family of their own. I have not met anyone yet who has given so much as the Bensons. I am very sad, and wish I had done more to show my appreciation. Our prayers are with the Benson family.
